Broadcast Waveform Rasterizer

The Ultra TQ is a next generation broadcast waveform monitor, based on the highly successful Ultra 4K Tool Box and Ultra XR technology. This platform ensures that the Ultra TQ can perform quality control and monitoring of signals SD-SDI / HD-SDI / 3G-SDI as standard.

The Ultra TQ comes with all of the tools expected as a general broadcast waveform monitor such as Picture, Waveform monitor, vectorscope, video status, video timing, audio meters, audio status, timecode logging, basic line pattern generator, etc all working with a single channel of SD-SDI, HD-SDI or 3G-SDI as standard. These can be supplemented by additional options to provide an all encompassing broadcast solution.

Video Format and Colour Space Support

The Ultra TQ supports all SD and HD video formats as standard and is upgradeable to support up to 4K/UHD, at frame rates up to 60Hz. DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative, SMPTE RP 431), Rec.709 (ITU-R Recommendation BT.709), EBU (ITU-R BT.470 standardized RGB colour space), SMPTE C (SMPTE RP 145) and Rec. 2020 (ITU-R Recommendation BT.2020) colour spaces are supported

Automated Control

The Ultra TQ is highly suited to use in routine monitoring applications through its support for remote control using the SNMP protocol. Both parameter values and system controls are available for read and write access across a network, allowing the development of dedicated systems to carry out monitoring and quality control.

User Interface

The User Interface can be displayed on an HDMI or SDI monitor at 1920x1080. Alternatively it can be displayed remotely via a web browser (subject to restrictions).

The different instruments can either be displayed full screen or as a part of a set of displays shown in a variety of ‘multi-tile’ formats displaying from one to nine instruments.
