New Ultra XR to be showcased at IBC
BASINGSTOKE, UK. September 8th 2016 – Leading Video Test & Measurement provider Omnitek will be showcasing its new Ultra XR at IBC this weekend (9 – 13 September).
The Ultra XR is a compact unit with a small form factor but provides a sophisticated solution for 4K/UHD content creation, post production and program QC. It supports all forms of SDI video input from SD to 12G and HDMI video input up to HDMI 1.4. Y'Cb'Cr', R'G'B' and X'Y'Z' input streams are supported in 8, 10 and 12bit colour depths, with support also offered for Wide Colour Gamut RGB (conforming to ITU-R BT.2020) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) input conforming to ST2084 and using PQ or Hybrid Log Gamma as the transfer function.
Among the facilities the Ultra XR offers are: full-resolution, real-time picture display (on a suitable monitor); a true 4K waveform monitor; a vectorscope that offers a choice of graticule (100% or 75%) and a luma mask option; BT.709 / BT.2020 CIE gamut charts; video timing measurement; and audio PPMs. It also offers a range of video and audio status displays.
Also on show at IBC will be:
- Omnitek’s Ultra 4K Tool Box in a new 3.0 version that supports 12-bit 4:4:4 SDI input formats in Y'Cb'Cr', R'G'B' and X'Y'Z', Wide Color Gamut RGB and HDR.
- The company’s OTM1000 3G-SDI-capable Advanced Waveform Monitor; and
- The OTR1001 Waveform Rasterizer and PQ Analyser, with in-service A/V delay measurement.
